Listening House Services

Serving guests by appointment and/or drop-in. Drop-in available if guests do not have access to phone or email. With two locations, Listening House’s doors open to up to 200 adults each day

Freedom House, located at 296 W 7th Street St. Paul, MN 55102 is now open. Freedom House is open 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm and offers similar services to Listening House with the addition of showers, laundry, and quiet semi-private rooms with bed to sleep. Ramsey County Food Resource

Call the Minnesota Food Help Line at 888-711-1151 to connect to programs that can increase your food budget such as SNAP, WIC or other food resources. Interpreters are available.

The Minnesota Department of Human Services emergency food support page outlines hunger resources including food assistance, meal programs and grocery delivery.

Second Harvest Heartland

60 years old and over through the program. Program participants are given a box of highly nutritious food that may include canned fruits, vegetables and juices, milk, cheese, canned meat, peanut butter or dried beans, cereal, rice or pasta.

Salvation Army

The Twin Cities Salvation Army serves daily hot meals at several centers. They stock eight food shelves and offer distributions of bakery and produce items. The food is free to anyone in need, no questions asked.

Food Shelf and Meals on Wheels. 
Meals are delivered by volunteers Monday through Friday between 10:30am – 12:30pm.


Department of India Work St. Paul

Emergency Services program is a culturally specific food shelf that serves the American Indian community in the East Metro.

Northpoint Health and Wellness Community Food Shelf

Offers monthly food supply – Several day supply of food once per calendar month. Non-food items –  Miscellaneous nonfood items with food request. Baby food/diapers – Several day supply of baby food and/or diapers, with a food request

Pillsbury United Communities

Individuals and families needing assistance can pick up a pantry bag at our food shelves, and take-out meals can be picked up at our community cafes.

Community Education mounds view public schools

Ralph Reeder Food Shelf serves low income, food insecure adults, children and seniors living in the Mounds View Public School District as well as the Ramsey County portion of St. Anthony.
